Conventions and Visitors

July will be a busy month for downtown businesses! With two more weekends of Summerfest, followed by the Harley-Davidson 120th Anniversary and Homecoming celebrations from July 13 to 16 and the Northwestern Mutual 143rd Annual Meeting from July 23 to 25, expect to see plenty of visitors patronizing downtown’s hotels, restaurants, shops and event venues. The Downtown Plan: 2040

Led by the City of Milwaukee and Milwaukee Downtown, Bid #21, the final Downtown Plan for 2040 was released to the public. Key goals identified in the plan include growing the downtown population by 40,000 by 2040, add around 15,000 housing units downtown and grow Downtown jobs to 100,000 by 2040.
