CONNECT: BUS RAPID TRANSIT

Milwaukee County’s Bus Rapid Transit, now known as CONNECT, will launch service on Sunday, June 4. The nine-mile route has dedicated bus lanes for a fast and reliable way to travel. INTERIM PLAZA PROGRAM

The City of Milwaukee is rolling out a new interim plaza program which repurposes space that might otherwise be underutilized and transforms them using low-cost materials. DPW is also offering a grant program for selected recipients to assist with the cost of installing a plaza. Last year, Milwaukee was awarded as the host city for the 2024 RNC. The convention will be held July 15 through July 18 and will bring tens of thousands of visitors to our city. The Milwaukee Marathon returns to downtown Milwaukee on Sunday, March 26. The course starts and finishes at Fiserv Forum and takes runners across the Milwaukee River, through the heart of downtown Milwaukee and over to the Lake Michigan Waterfront before journeying through Marquette University campus.
