‘Tis the Season of Giving
As holiday season approaches, Westown Association wants to remind everyone of the innovative ways that you can spread kindness in the area this year:
The Guest House of Milwaukee is looking for monetary & in-kind donations to support their mission of providing shelter and services to Milwaukee’s homeless.
The City of Milwaukee and Milwaukee County continue their holiday tradition of helping those in need with their Annual Holiday Drive. This year’s drive will support Running Rebels and Journey House. Learn more about how to support the drive at mkeholidaydrive.org.
There are a number of ways to support Capuchin Community Services such as donating to their Christmas Toy Drive, volunteering at the St. Ben’s Community Meal site and donating winter-wear items.
Community Advocates has a wishlist that helps support the Milwaukee Women’s Center Emergency Shelter, Nevermore Program and Bottomless Closet.
The American Red Cross has urged blood donations in preparation for the cold winter months. Donors who give blood between November 28 and December 15 will receive a $10 gift card by email. Marquette University is hosting a blood-drive on campus on December 2. Register here by searching zip code 53233.
