The Scent Experience at the Spice House
The Spice House recently introduced The Scent Experience and Spice Bar for a sensational journey. Customers are invited to sample and smell spices in-stores for an all new and inclusive experience. The Scent Experience features an assortment of twenty spices and blends, which will educate customers on the nuances between varieties of certain spices. The Spice Bar offers a rotating assortment of four different spices available each month for sampling. Reservations are not required.

2022 Milwaukee Holiday Lights Festival
On November 17, Milwaukee Downtown kicked off the 24th Annual Holiday Lights Festival, dazzling downtown’s parks and streets with more than a half-a-million lights. Through January 1, 2023, you can join in on the festivities with dining, shopping, performances and more. View the complete festival guide here. Be sure to see the wonderous displays in Westown including “Santa’s Celebration Square” at Zeidler Union Square, “Christmas Chalet” at Pere Marquette Park, the twinkling chandeliers along West Wisconisn Avenue and the City of Milwaukee Christmas Tree in the Deer District. You can visit these locations on your own, or take a 40-minute narrated tour on the Jingle Bus which departs from The Avenue. Learn more about downtown’s holiday events here!

2022 Westown Association Annual Meeting
On Tuesday, November 8, Westown Association held its 2022 Annual Meeting, presented by We Energies Foundation. Dozens of downtown leaders and stakeholders gathered at the historically renovated St. James 1868 to celebrate the organization’s accomplishments in 2022 and recognize this year’s award recipients. During the event, Stacie Callies, Westown’s Executive Director, and Jeff Sherman, Westown’s Board President, recalled the numerous announcements of new developments and businesses relocating to downtown’s premier neighborhood west of the Milwaukee River. The organization also brought back the Shamrock Club of Wisconsin St. Patrick’s Day Parade to downtown Milwaukee and hosted its first full season of the Milwaukee Night Market which attracted over 100,000 visitors to…

2022 Milwaukee Veteran’s Day Parade
The Wisconsin Veterans Day Parade will march through downtown streets on Saturday, November 5. The parade steps off at 11 a.m. at MKL Drive and Wisconsin Avenue, traveling east to Water Street, then turning north where it will end on Juneau Avenue. 9th Annual Westown Golf Open: September 28
The 9th Annual Westown Golf Open, presented by Gardner Builders, was held on Wednesday, September 28 at Western Lakes Golf Club. This year, 88 golfers spent the day fostering relationships while also raising funds for the organization. Thank you to all the golfers and volunteers that participated, as well as the 56 local businesses that supported the event through sponsorship and by donating prizes to the raffle and silent auction. We are pleased to share that the 2022 Westown Golf Open raised over $20,000, which directly supports our mission of creating a more vibrant downtown neighborhood. MKE Night Market: September 21
The 2022 season of the Milwaukee Night Market wrapped up on Wednesday, September 21 with an estimated 30,000 people coming to West Wisconsin Avenue to celebrate the last day of summer. As back-to-school season rolled around, Westown Association invited Milwaukee’s local college students returning to their campuses to visit the MKE Night Market and experience the best of the city they’ll call home for the upcoming school year. Over 200 students participated in our College Night digital scavenger hunt and received a free Night Market t-shirt as a reward. Thank you to our College Night sponsors Marquette University and MATC. MKE Night Market: August 17
The Milwaukee Night Market returned to West Wisconsin Avenue for the third time this summer on August 17. It was another beautiful summer night filled with music, dancing, food and art. We estimate another 30,000 people attended the Night Market in August, helping create a unique energy and environment in our downtown neighborhood. The final Night Market of the summer is on Wednesday, September 21 from 5 to 10 p.m. We hope you’ll join us for one last celebration of the best our city has to offer. 21st Annual Milwaukee River Challenge
The Milwaukee River Challenge is back for its 21st year on Saturday, September 17. The event begins at 9 a.m. and attracts some of the best high school, collegiate and club teams in the Midwest for a competitive, friendly race on the river. Follow participants through the heart of downtown Milwaukee as they navigate narrow passageways and other challenges. Be sure to frequent one of the restaurants or bars along the Riverwalk and enjoy race action throughout the day.
