REPUBLICAN NATIONAL CONVENTION: JULY 15-18

On Friday, June 21, the US Secret Service announced the official security zones for the 2024  Republican National Convention taking place at venues in Westown on July 15 to 18. The map provided outlines of two distinct zones. The yellow zone allows for pedestrian and vehicular traffic without the need for special passes. Vehicles entering this area will need to be searched at one of the five designated vehicle access points, so parking outside of the perimeter and walking in is encouraged.

The red zone is restricted to individuals with an RNC ticket or a Secret Service issued credentials. No vehicular traffic will be allowed in this zone.

The Coalition to March on the RNC 2024 announced a new protest route that will avoid the Secret Service’s restricted security perimeter, shown below. 

Parking restrictions for the RNC go into effect on Monday, July 5 as the city begins to stage the security perimeter. See all street closures and parking restrictions listed here.
