The City of Milwaukee and the MKE 2024 Host Committee are hosting a community information session on Thursday, April 11 at the Baird Center for businesses and residents that are likely to fall within the convention security zone. Business operators are invited to attend the 10 a.m. session, and residents are invited to attend the 6 p.m. session. Business operators and residents can also stay informed by reviewing the City of Milwaukee’s 2024 RNC FAQ page which will continue to be updated as more information is announced. The 10th season of the Milwaukee Night Market, presented by Clover from Fiserv, takes place on Wednesdays, June 26, July 24, August 14 and September 11. We are seeking a variety of entertainers to participate in each event, including DJs, dance groups, acrobats, fire performers, musicians and more! The deadline to apply as an entertainer is Friday, April 17 at midnight. Celebrate the grand opening of The New Old Fashioned in the Deer District on Saturday, April 6 at 2 p.m. There will be a ribbon-cutting ceremony featuring community leaders and local team mascots. The Milwaukee Marathon, Half Marathon and 5K returns on Saturday, April 13. The route runs up Lincoln Memorial Drive weaving through the Historic Water Tower neighborhood before making its way to the Hank Aaron Trail. At the turn around, the runners will head to Bay View via S. Water Street and KK before ending at Humboldt Park. Please pay close attention to posted No Parking signage as any vehicles on the course will be ticketed and towed/relocated. Access ramps to I794 at the Lakefront and at Oklahoma will also be closed.
