Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Milwaukee – BBBS supports their mentoring matches with items and opportunities to help support their time together. Help the Littles by donating a “Back to Class” kit f, hosting a Holiday gift and winter gear drive, or consider volunteering as a Big. You can also host BBBS at your holiday party to speak, table or provide handouts about the organization. Capuchin Community Services – There are a number of ways to support Capuchin Community Services such as donating to their Christmas Toy Drive, volunteering at the St. Ben’s Community Meal site and donating winter-wear items.
Community Advocates – Your generosity enables Community Advocates to serve more than 68,000 individuals each year. Consider volunteering, donating monetarily or purchasing items from their wishlist, which helps their clients including the Milwaukee Women’s Shelter, Nevermore Program and Bottomless Closet.

Holiday Lights Festival – now through January 1, 2024 | Downtown’s parks and streets will shine bright with more than half a million lights for the 25th Annual Holiday Lights Festival! Be sure to see the wonderous displays in Westown including “Santa’s Celebration Square” at Zeidler Union Square, “Felices Fiestas!” at Pere Marquette Park, the twinkling chandeliers along West Wisconsin Avenue, and the City of Milwaukee Christmas Tree in the Deer District. New this year, explore the Ornament Trail with 15 larger-than-life holiday ornaments along Wisconsin Ave. You can also visit these locations on your own, or take a 40-minute narrated tour on the Jingle Bus which departs from The Avenu
The Commercialists: Charlie Brown Christmas – December 4, 2023 at 7 p.m. & 9 p.m.| Goof Grief! The Commercialists bring their annual holiday tradition to the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra for the first time ever for one special night. Cheer District: New Year’s Eve Firework Show – Light up the night with a firework show at the Deer District. Fireworks will take place at 8:30 p.m., guests are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs to watch the show. Bars in the deer district will be having specials during the evening.
